45 Ideas for Fall 🍁 Sewing

Fall 🍁 Sewing Projects + My Easiest Sewing Room Storage Hack

Greetings friends!

It happened this week. I was sitting outside and I felt it.

That hint of Fall in the air. And I got a little bit giddy. Fall is my most favorite time of year.

So with the impending arrival of Autumn, I've updated my list of Fall Sewing Inspiration and Ideas. Now is the perfect time to start (or maybe finish?) a fall project to enjoy during the upcoming season.

Lots of ideas on this list - both big and small - to get your creative juices flowing.

New Fall 2024 Quilt Patterns + Fabric

There are also some fun new patterns and fabric collections for 2024 from Lori Holt and Susan Ache.

I've shared a peak at these projects here. Plus, one of my favorite Fabric Stash Hot Tips. Click Below for the details.

One of my best and simplest storage tips ever

A few years ago I stumbled upon a really simple solution for organizing my sewing room.

Five years later, this solution is still working flawlessly. And it's SO easy even a really non-handy person like me can do it in minutes.

Fun Finds on the Web:

I love this example of using a "cheater print" to make a fun quilted tote bag!

Amy Chappell of Ameroonie Designs has a the sweetest collection of sewing projects featuring many of her free tutorials.

The Fat Quarter Shop has the cutest free Village Quilt pattern from Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. I love house quilts. I'm totally adding this to my "to-make-one-day" list!

We love the show Making Good and you know I especially loved this episode about quilters making a difference for Ukranian refugees in Poland.

Not much sewing happening here at all this week. We're still in the thick of family time with all of our kids at home. Tonight we're getting family pictures taken (still figuring out what we're going to wear...), special neighbors who moved away are coming to visit, family in town, all interspersed by runs to Target for college dorm needs, helping my parents pack for a move, etc, etc.

My brain is slightly fried and my body needs a nap most days, but I'm trying to soak up this magical time with my people, eating dinner all together, watching them laugh at old memories or burst into random songs from their childhood.

Sewing time will come again soon, but for now we're living in the moment before all of them will have moved out again by the end of next week.

As always, thanks for checking in. Hope you have a great week and some good stitching time too.

xo,

Amy
